Thread: Game of Thrones

Siendo que están tan de moda, ¿alguno tuvo la oportunidad de leer alguno de los libros en su idioma original y en alguna versión traducida?

I don't know what it is but I cannot seem to get into this series. I usually enjoy this type of book and movies but something's missing that hasn't grabbed my attention. Go figure.

LOl!! I agree with brapoza, I have not been able to get into this series. My boyfriend has asked me countless times to watch it with him, but I just don't like it. I have not had the pleasure of reading the books, I wouldn't mind. Usually the books are always better than the movies/tv shows. One of the books I did read that they turned it into a television series is True Blood. Has anyone read the books or watched the tv show?

In my humble opinion the serie is great ! Can't wait for the 4th Season; but I do agree that sometimes one just doesn't get into some series/movies (even if they were huge productions like this one) and often they're not as good as the book.

As for True Blood, I didn't have the oportunity to watch/read! Tell me about it

I have heard that from manypeople. It tends to get good reviews, maybe I just haven't seen thebest episodes? I'm not sure, it just doesn't grab at my interest. Iam a huge believer in the idea that film adaptations are never asgood as the movie. I have seen many movies that are based off books,and to be honest, there has never been any but one that I can say wasbetter than the movie. The movie “A Walk To Remember” was a lotbetter then the novel, other than that however, I can't say much forany others.


I have not seen True Blood,although I have heard a lot about it. My daughter read the seriesthough, I'm not sure of her take on them.
