How would you translate it?
Colloquially speaking, we say “una piedra en el zapato”. In Christ’s time they used to call it “una piedra de tropiezo”(than would be only a semantic translation not a faithful one)

To rain on somebody´s parade
To me, that phrase is equivalent to "to let the wind out of somebody´s sails" or "to burst somebody´s bubble", which mean "to disappoint somebody".
though I suppose it could also mean...
to frustrate somebody´s plans.
Sorry if this is late...
The last post is the most correct as far as getting the meaning across in English.
The only expression in Spanish that I know of that gets the meaning across would be "pinchar el globo".
I hope it's not too late to help!!!
