Who in the English-speaking world has heard the abrreviation BFF to mean Best Friends Forever?
hi elmeromero,
I have heard this a lot, usually in the language of Instant messenger.
here are some more:
bffl: best friends for life
gf/bf: girlfriend/boyfriend
ttyl: talk to you later
brb:be right back
You know, I always thought LOL meant "lots of love". I don't know why, but that's what I thought. Then one day, out of the blue, I found out it means Laugh Out Loud, or something. Who knew?
Yes, I have also read COL for Crying Out Loud...interesting, uh?
Realmente, el destino del mundo depende, en primer lugar, de los estadistas y, en segundo lugar, de los intérpretes.
Trygve Halvdan Lie
particularly since I always think of these abbreviations as happy things.
Incidentally, my personal favorite along these lines is ASAMFPY.
BFF is very common even before text message but now with that you have the LOL like you said and OMG (oh my god) NBD (no big deal), etc.
