Default to put sbdy ahead of someone else

Does the following sentence mean not to bear or put up with someone?

"After all that's happened you still couldn't put me ahead of you"

or not to stand someone who is on a higher position?

Hello solfinker, in my opinion what the sentence means is someone being selfish. That they didn't put someone before themselves. After everything that has happened the person is still being selfish and not putting whoever before themselves. I hope that helps

yes, I agree with kvillanueva. If you can give us a little bit more of a context that would help, but yes, it sounds as if someone didn't care and couldn't put aside their own interests for someone else.
