How do you say retrete in US Spanish?
How do you say retrete in US Spanish?
It depends on the context... I think the best word to use is "toilet".
ladies room?
Lavabos en España creo
Baños en Argentina o Toilet
I live in Michigan (USA), and people mostly say "baño". I hope this is what you're looking for!
I've also heard "servicios", but "banos" is the most common in my neck of the woods (CA).
I think "restroom" is the most common generic term for the place where the toilets are.
"Retrete" is not the room, but the toilet appliance. The common word for retrete here in Mexico (and there are many mexicans in U.S.) is "taza". If you prefer, you can use the most common term: inodoro.
