Thread: American Accent

This is a very interesting thread to me. My parents came over from Scotland so I learned to speak with a Scottish accent and had a heck of a time when I started school, I pronounced film as filim and arm as aram and had all kinds of trouble with my ou's and ah's.
But I do love accents and enjoy listening to different people speak and sing with one.

Agree 100%...The New England accent is sharper even though not as strong as the British accent. Southern accents tend to be more slippery because of the influence of latin romance languages (French and Spanish).
