Red face x times as many... as

Hi there! I was wondering if you could help me with this structure. I have found an example so that it is clearer to you:

Almost four times as many males as females ages 15 to 19 have been affected this year.

I just wanted to confirm the following: who were more affected? men or women? I think men is the answer: is that right?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Guadalupe!

    You are correct.

"four times as many" signífica multiplicar por cuatro, por eso hay cuatro hombres afectado por cada mujer afectada.
