Selfie: Oxford’s Word of the Year 2013

What do you think about "selfie" as 2013's word of the year?
Have you heard about it before today?

I think it's a great word. There's nothing like taking selfies to let the online community know where you are at and what you are wearing. And thank you I did just get a haircut!

Yes, that's true! Also, the second gentleman on the left should be wearing a coat in the 1st photograph... But that doesn't necessarily mean this is a hoax, does it?

With further investigation you will also notice that the ground they are standing on is completely different. I have to call it as I see it, I'm sorry, it´s a hoax!
