    Default Rush

How would you translate the following sentence considering it was taken from a finantial context?

"In many countries in the European Union there was a rush to safety."
Would you translate "rush" as "corrida"?
    Thanks!!

    Hi Sabrina:

I'd never use the word "corrida" because in certain countries that word has a sexual connotation. I'd translate it like this: "En varios países de la Unión Europea urgía la seguridad".

    Hope it helps!
