    Default Factura?

Hi folks, once again I need clarification, I am confused.
I have an issue distinguishing in Spanish between "bill" and "Invoice".

    context:
I need to wash the balance from a bill to an invoice, for a customer that is also my vendor.

It seems that in Spanish at least in the castellano used in Mexico the translation for either is "Factura". I have also found "Factura al cliente" for Invoice and "Factura al Vendedor" for Bill.

    any thoughts?

    Thank you

"Bill" and "invoice" are both "factura." If you wish to specify the actual paper document you can say, "recibo de la factura."

Being very picky, here is the distinction:

"Dáme el recibo de la factura"......... (I am asking for a piece of paper)

"Pásame la factura"........... Send me the invoice (I could be asking for an email attachment).

So in your case it seems that you are issuing a new "factura" (an invoice) based on a "recibo de factura" sent to you (a bill)

    Buenas,
