Thread: Lot Shipments & Just in Time

Hi folks,

I need help with the following. It is in reference to a distributor purchasing product from a manufacturer. "lot shipments" or "just in time"

How do they purchase material, in lot shipments or just in time, etc?

Also "Forward looking production schedule"

En cuanto a "just in time", que yo recuerde se mantiene el calco, o sea, podés hablar del método o la técnica "justo a tiempo", fijate:

Yo emplearia Just In Time, involucra todo el proceso de distribucion. Es un termino mucho mas amplio.

"lot shipments": lotes programados
"just in time": demanda continua o demanda instantánea

Como dije antes el sistema Justo a tiempo involucra todo el proceso, desde el proveedor hasta la entrega final del producto al cliente, razon por la cual si necesitas hacer referencia a todo el canal de distribucion lo mejor es poner el termino Just in time. Si me podes ampliar un poco mas el contexto en que esta empleado el termino como para terminar de definir la idea mejor aun!

Regarding Forward looking production schedule, I would say: Programa de la producción estimada.
