Hello,
Does anybody know if there is a standard translation for the name of this agency?
Thanks in adavance!
I think it´s: "Departamento de de salud y servicio social" or "Ministerio de Salud y Accion Social" (Argentina). But it´s depend of the Goberment Administration of the country.
I hope this will be helpful for you!
Regards!...
The Montana agency has translated it as: "Departamento de Salud Pública y Servicios Humanos" http://www.dphhs.mt.gov/publicassist...cs-2500907.doc, but you might find a better one by googling the name of the agency along with the keyword "spanish". Good luck!
Actually, surfing the website of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, a division of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, you can find it translated in two different ways:
- Departamento de Salud y Servicios Humanos de los Estados Unidos @ www.ahrq.gov/preguntas/informacion.htm - 25k - 2011-05-25
- Departamento de Salud y Recursos Humanos @ www.ahrq.gov/news/press/pr2003/spnhqdrpr.htm - 19k - 2011-01-14
I personally like the first one more.
Thank you all for your answers. I think "Human Services" involves more that just human resources. I've never seen this translation before. So I guess I'm gonna go with Departamento de Salud y Servicios Humanos de los Estados Unidos.
Thanks!
istanbul website
There's a great website, A: Agencias y Departamentos Federales en GobiernoUSA.gov, el portal oficial del Gobierno de los EE. UU. that has all the "official" translations for different agencies. Sometimes, you have to do a little research within the website, but usually they are at plain site. Here, they translate it as "Departamento de Salud y Servicios Sociales".
Hope it helps!
