hi People,
Can anybody help me to find the difference between "motor" and "engine" within a context of mechanical (automotive) translation?
I mean, I'd use "motor" for both terms translated into Spanish...
Thank you!![]()

engine: motor that converts thermal energy to mechanical work.
I´ve not found an english definition for motor. In spanish we use motor for mechanical context.
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your reply! Sorry I forgot to tell you before, I guess then that "motor" it is any motor, any device to convert one kind of energy into another. e.g. electric motor.
"engine" is a "motor de combustión interna".
Cheers!!!
Jack
