    Default Stripped Threads

    Hello all,

Does anyone know how to say "stripped threads" as in threads from a screw or a bolt that have been stripped or whose threads that have been damaged. I know that a thread is a rosca or filete. I read someone referring to them as filete arrancada?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Dimitrios,

I believe it is pasarse de rosca, (un tornillo) to have a stripped thread.

Please be careful with this phrase since (at least in in Argentina) it has an additional and totally different connotation (the second one):

    Hope it helps.
