Some of the terms I need to use are standard abbreviations such as:
SQL, JDBC, SMTP, etc. Would I just say the letters in Spanish, or are these spoken differently in Spanish?
Also I need to verify the following terms:
database table - tabla de base de datos
streaming data - fluir datos
streaming click data - fluir datos del tecleo
web click data - datos del tecleo de la tela
click stream - corriente del tecleo
data stream - secuencia de datos
demo - versión parcial de programa ( can I just say demo?)
file - fichero
log - registro
log file - archivo de registro
plugin - enchufable
logfile entry - entrada del archivo de registro
Data Sources - Fuentes de datos
Data Sinks - Fregaderos de datos
Data sources and sinks - Fuentes y Fregaderos de datos
Streams (of data) - corrientes (de datos)
Tables (database tables) - tablas de base de datos
schema (database schema) - esquema de la base de datos
views (database views) - ???
User Defined Functions (we call them UDF's)- Funciones definidas por el usario
scalar function - función escalar
Also, are there correct for stock trading terms:
bids - ofertas
asks - pide
sales -ventas
Also if anyone knows of a translator on line somewhere that does well with these types of terms that would be great.
Thanks,
Maria
