Bonjour Reminder! Bonjour Frank!...or as we say 'round here: HOWDY!

I tried to decipher what Reminder wrote and I am hesitantly guessing that she(?) found another definition of gigolo that has to do with life style and travel? Could you translate it for me, please.

We already knew that Reminder has mastered English and Spanish and it would appear that she(?) has a pretty good handle on French as well.



PS: I put the ? on "she" because I was recently embarrassed to learn, after all these years, that Gentle is not a she but a he. It now occurs to me that "reminder" is also gender neutral. I hope I have not been wrong again

I can't even name 150 languages !

That's very interesting. That's an awful lot! Do you mean that there are 150 languages that are widely spoken in the city...that would be a communication nightmare...or is it that there are that many known to be spoken at different levels or places. Do you have a lot of ethnic enclaves throughout Antwerp?

How did you come up with that figure? I bet New York City would have a pretty high number as well. Antwerp is your capital verdad?

I cannot retrace where I read about these 150 languages,
but official documents state that there are between 170 and 180 different nationalities residing in Antwerp (city).


Twenty years back, this was not the case.
The main language in Antwerp is Flemish, next there's French and English.




Brussels is our capital, Antwerp is our main port.
