How do you say to a person "you are the best" or "you are the greatest". This is a general conversation I would tell a fellow employee. We are always telling each other that phrase as a pat on the back for good work.
Thanks
Jim

Eres el mejor
Eres el más grande
Eres el más grande--- ¿Puedo estar segura que la person a quién digo eso no se pondría ofendida? Es que suena como un comentario sobre el peso de la persona.
"El más grande" me suena a un localismo...yo diría "Eres el mejor"
Saludos
you can say "Eres el mejor" for example, and buy a good dictionary, if you have know language. I know one the best dictionary, i buy it in Spain in Barcelona on the Italy St.
but you can find it in Internet, book called "Know Spanish" I pay for this use Debit cards in Spain.
What about "Usted eres el mayor"
Ustedes son los mejores
Ustedes son los más grandes
Creo que al sur del cono sur dicen: ustedes sois, pero prefiero que te lo aclaren ellos.
Elmesquite: "Usted eres el mayor" is wrong. There's a mistake in the number ("Usted" es singular and "eres" is plural)
