Hi everyone,
I need the translation of "stewed prunes". It's a list of healthy food products in a menu. I need it for the Spanish-speaking audience in the US.
Thanks!

Stew is a cooked dish (simmered) and it is translated as "estofado", but stewed refers to the cooking method and has to be translated as "cocido" or "cocinado". A prune is a dried plum, it is translated as "ciruela pasa".
However, for a menu, I would use "ciruelas en su jugo" which means: prunes cooked in their own juices.
Now, I would agree with you if you say that it doesn't sound very attractive in english; but in spanish, it sounds "delicioso".
Regards, Mario
how about "compota de ciruelas"?
Ciruela en compota
Hope it helps
