Instead of "sudan", it could be "se preocupan"...
One definition (which makes more sense to me) of sweat is:
to undergo anxiety or mental or emotional distress <sweat through final exams>
(Merriam-webster, 3rd definition of the verb).

Y yo iría un paso más allá y me atrevería a decir que es preocuparse pero por temor, es decir, creo que en esencia les temen a sus enemigos a la vez. (O sea, que los aman, pero de los dientes para afuera). Pero es aventurado.
Nietzsche por su complejidad dialéctica es el tipo de autor de quien hay que saber de su obra con detalle para poderlo (o atreverse a) traducir. Lo ideal sería del alemán al castellano, pues seguro que ya en la de alemán a inglés, se perdió mucho en el camino.
