Hi there, can't find source text now, but I'm assuming the above somehow relates to "made to measure". Can anyone offer any alternatives.
They need it by 12 tomorrow
Thanks in advance

Me vendría bien un poco más de información, pero mobiliario a medida no me me parece una mala traducción. Otra opción que se me ocurre ahora es: mobiliario personalizado
Hugs
Mobiliario a la medida.
Meaning that furniture is custom made and fitted to the space in question.
Hi there,
Thanks for that I think we've got the meaning, the complete phrase is "Pantallas LED a medida del mobilario" and refers to lighting in Valladolid, any further suggestions?
Thanks again
Since this is for Spain, it would be nice to have the input of someone who lives therejust to make sure of the usage there.
In Venezuela the article and preposition a la are necessary for that phrase to make sense. However, the DRAE accepts both:
a ~, o a la ~.
1. locs. adjs. Dicho de un objeto: Hecho con las medidas adecuadas a la persona o cosa a la que está destinado. Traje a medida. Muebles a medida. U. t. en sent. fig.
Hi Cotty
Thanks for the input, much appreciated
David
I agree with Cotty. Custom made would be the translation for "a medida" or "a la medida". I am confused, however, after reading your 2nd post. Are the LED screens made to fit a piece of furniture, or a piece of furniture is made to fit the LED screen? Are you translating this from EN>SP or SP>EN?
Hi there, thanks for that. the translation is SP - EN. The screens are being used as a type of furniture (ie in the same way that lamposts are considered "street furniture" in English.
I translated it as "LEDscreens as street furniture". The client had the translation reviewed and haven't changed it so I guess it's OK
Thanks again
