Default Searching for Spanish translation for my tattoo

    Hi!

My name is Angela and the reason why I registered at this website is because I need help with a translation.
I want to get a tattoo in Spanish but I don't know the right translation.
That's why I hope someone here can help me out

I want to get the tattoo for my father and at first my idea was to get a tattoo with the words: "amandote hasta mi final". But a friend told me that although the line is correct, it's not a line Spanish people would say or use.
Now I'm thinking about a few qoutes:
    - life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning how to dance in the rain.
    - have the courage to live, anyone can die.
    - dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.
Now I'm looking for the Spanish translation.

But I would also like a tattoo with something like: I love you and always will. That's why I really liked the line: "amandote hasta mi final".

I really hope someone can help me, that would be great!

    Angela

    Hi Angela,

Interesting request, I have to say!
Ok, let's see if I can help you out a little bit:
The Spanish line you mention is not ok, it means like: loving you until I die...
This sounds weird, bizarr, almost creepy.
    Better: Amándote para siempre
The other suggestions (your list, one by one):
La vida no es esperar a que pase la tormenta, es aprender a bailar bajo la lluvia.
Échale valor a la vida, la muerte le llega a cualquiera.
Sueña como si fueras a vivir para siempre, vive como si fueras a morir hoy.

Hope this helps, all the best and good luck!!
    Tess

Te amaré hasta el final de mis días
    Mi amor es para siempre
    Te amaré hasta morir

La vida no se trata de esperar a que pase la tormenta, sino de aprender a bailar bajo la lluvia.
Atrévete a vivir, cualquiera puede morir.
Sueña como si fueras a vivir para siempre, vive como si fueras a morir hoy.

danielad's translations are perfect and natural. So take them into account for your tattoo.

Is there anyone who can help me with another sentence?
Because I want a tattoo on my wrist (so it has to be short) and I want it to be something that has to do with courage, not holding back and just living.
Our just 3 words like: laugh, love, live.
I would really like a beautiful Spanish 'quote' or just sentence for this
Does anyone have a nice idea?

    It would really help me!

    All the best xx

Carpe Diem summarizes what you have just described, Angela. It is Latin, not Spanish, but Spanish is a Latin Language so... it works too!
"Reir, amar, vivir" or "Rie, ama, vive" (the first is in infinitive, the second in imperative (you) laugh, (you) love, (you) live).
I would use something like: No regrets, or Don't look back, or Live as if there is no tomorrow. Maybe someone else could help us translate those last three.
"No boundaries" = "Sin Límites", just another thought.
Let us know if you come up with a phrase in English that you want translated into Spanish.

Thank you so much for your help Daniela!
I like something like: no regrets, never look back.
    Maybe someone could help me?

So if anyone has other ideas or can translate the ideas from Daniela, that would be great!
