The meaning of "Claro" in Spanish is "Sure", showing you agree with that person.
For "You're welcome", we use "De nada" or as you said "No es nada" o "No hay de qué", but the most common one is the first one, "De nada".

Thanks for the reply, that helps. I guess I was wondering how the word "welcome" which should be "Bienvenidos", relates. When someone says "Thank you very much", the English reply is "You are very welcome", or ("you are welcome to it anytime") whereas with "muchas gracias", you wouldn't reply "de mucha nada" -or could you?

Dabeed, possibly you are trying for a literal translation of something cultural. What I hear a lot is (1) "Con mucho gusto" in response to being thanked for something. I recall hearing in Argentina possible (2) "No por eso" and (3) "¡Por favor!" The concept behind response (1) is extremely common in Costa Rica. Responding with "De nada" sounds odd and quaint here. Response (2) seems to mean "If you are going to thank me, thank me for something significant. What I just did for you was nothing. It wasn't any bother at all." In Brazil (at least in Southern Brazil), the two main responses are quite similar. One is "Imagine!" (meaning, "Imagine someone thanking me for something so insignificant" and "Not for that!" (meaning "You can thank me for something big, but what I just did for you is nothing. Don't waste your breath thanking me for such a tiny favor.") As for response (3), the message seems to be "Please! You are embarrassing me! Don't exaggerate so much! The tiny favor is not worth thanking me for."

I don't know with whom you hang out, work, etc. Listen to their speech. What do they say that you would understand as "You are very welcome"? Don't expect literal translations because Spanish is more than English with a señor here, and an "Usted" there. Look instead for equivalents and imitate them.
