Maybe it means, I haven't heard the song though, that she is a girl that can only be taken to bed, not a girl you can introduce to your family as a girlfriend (?)
Or maybe her body is literally square as a bed.
Encontré "bedshaped" como "desamparada", maybe because you have suffered so much you spend most of your time crying in bed and now you are "bedshaped".
Does that sound better?
Tim Rice-Oxley (singer in Keane)
"The song is about feeling that you've been 'left behind' by an old friend or lover, and about hoping that you'll be reunited one day so that you can live out the end of your lives together the same way you started them. When someone is ill and has to spend a lot of time in a hospital bed they can become 'bedshaped'. It sounds depressing... but in the context of the song I wanted to suggest old age and frailty"
For sure it is not right, but definitely funny interpretation.
this may be a pun on "badshaped".
