Thread: idiom for "on the hook"

Hello, first time posting here. I am translating a presentation and cannot find an equivalent Spanish phrase for "on the hook" as in to be responsible or liable for something. Gracias por sus pensamientos.

I think that in a legal context, we would use the word "responsable". Not sure if there is a colloquial expression in Spanish to say that.
