    Hi amayo. It means Rule-Based Machine Translation, an classical approach of MT (Machine Translation).

    Thank you vmota! Rule-Based Machine Translation is a type of machine translation then? Is Google Translate a RBMT?

    Hi amayo. Yes in some sense. There are different kinds of machine translation: rules-based and statistical. Google Translator is a statistical one.
