Thread: Marriage Proposal

Okay so my very serious girlfriend is Mexican and is bilingual, but I am white and I only speak a little spanish. I've been wanting to propose for some time now and we both know we'll be getting married as soon as I ask, the problem is I need to ask her mom for a blessing and her mom only speaks spanish. I don't trust google translate to translate an entire paragraph correctly so I'm coming here hoping someone can help me out! If it helps any, we live in Texas and the spanish is pretty informal.

I love your daughter more than anything in the world. I want to take care of her and protect her for the rest of my life. I want nothing less than to marry her, and I want to ask for your blessing. She means the world to me and I can't imagine being happy without her. I want to have a family with her with beautiful children and I want to come home to her every single night. If you could please give us your blessing, I know she will make me the happiest man that's ever lived.

I also want to let her know not to tell her daughter I have asked for her blessing so I'll need the follow up translated

Please do not tell her that I asked for your blessing, I want the proposal to be a surprise.
