I'm not sure what the Spanish would be. In this context " thrust upon" means that the paper was given, presented, handed, delivered to the person, perhaps abruptly or unexpectedly.

Some examples of thrust or thrust upon in this context:
"I didn't want the responsibility but it was thrust upon me" meaning the responsibility was given to me anyway.
"I was unaware of what he was talking about until he thrust the papers in my face."
"I didn't want to see the papers but he thrust them at me."
"He was so angry he thrust his fist in front of my face." meaning he threatened but did not hit me.
"I was a happy man until this mess was thrust upon me."

Sin embargo, cuando contemple la primera oracion expuesta en este documento impuesto a mi, confieso que me senti como un ciego ( o como una persona ciega).
* nota: contemple (acento en la e final)
