Default going to wreck and ruin

Hola. ¿Cómo se traduce "wreck" en la frase siguiente?: The land is impoverished, the fences broken down, the gates gone, the barns going to wreck and ruin.
    Gracias por la ayuda.

I think "going to wreck and ruin" here is a phrase that could be translated as "destrozados" or "deteriorados".

It gives the idea of something decaying, something falling apart, etc.

    Hope it helps!

Is not very common to use "wreck" regarding Wealth, it's a more common term regarding vehicles accidentally broken. i think in this phrase you can translate it as "Quiebra".

Metaphorically, wreck is used in various ways to indicate a condition of disorder, failure, emotional turmoil, financial bankruptcy, etc..

Wreck and ruin is an old phrase that means complete failure, often in a financial sense, but also in a general sense. In the sentence "... the barns going to wreck and ruin." it means the barns are almost in a state of complete deterioration.
