    Default having a mind

Hola. ¿Cómo se traduce al castellano "having a mind" en el texto siguiente?: ... and when I awoke, as I did with a start, the sun was shining in the east window, having a mind, as it seemed, to make the most of that day.
    Gracias por vuestra ayuda.

    Hola Antonio,

Siempre vi la expresión como "have a mind to do something", con el sentido de "tener ganas de hacer algo". Por eso, en este caso, creo que la idea completa sería "having a mind to make the most of that day".

    Espero haberte ayudado!

Yes, I agree with anas. If I am not wrong, it seems it is going to be a super sunny day.

Yes, I agree too! It gives the idea of willingness, determination. The sun was shining and determined to make the most of the day.
