Thread: empowerment

What do you think of empowerment being translated as empoderamiento?

I've seen the word several times, but don't think it is an appropiate translation (empoderamiento is considered a neologism by RAE).

Any suggestions?

I agree. I think it's the most usual translation but I don't quite like it.

What do you think about "atribución de poder"? I believe it is slightly different though...

Can you write a sentence in English where you use "empowerment"?

"Empowerment" podria tambien tener que ver con autorizacion.
