Hola. ¿Cómo se traduce "there´s a good soul" en el siguiente texto?: "Let the ghost rest for to-night, there´s a good soul," I entreated; the idea of the ghost being, if I may say so, laid very considerably by the discovery of that secret staircase, but he would listen to no remonstrance..
¿Podría ser algo como "es un buen chico"?

Antonio...yo diría que puedes utilizar "un alma buena". Me recuerda a una canción de la banda británica Starsailor que se llamaba Good souls y que se refiere a ese tema. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhXSbLbE6_c

Coincido con gentle. "un alma buena" tal vez permita mantener un registro o un estilo que la palabra "chico" no respeta.

I agree with you guys. In this context a good soul refers to a good person, or maybe un buen ser humano. , except that it seems to be referring to a ghost, so buena alma would be more fitting.

I tried but could not hear the song Gentle.
The volume was too low, on my laptop at least.
