    Default lying at your bankers

Hola. ¿Cómo se traduciría "lying at your bankers" en el texto siguiente?: I knew you had a lot of friends, and infuence likely to prove useful, say to a young lady whose relatives wanted her brought out and put in the way of making a good marriage, but I never supposed you had a hundred pounds lying at your bankers in your life.
    Gracias por vuestra ayuda.

I think it means "in the bank"....No estoy seguro pero creo que quiere decir que "yo nunca pensaba (pensé) que jamas en tu vida tenias cien (pounds=English currency) en depósito al banco

Yes, I agree with vicente. I believe it means something like "I never imagined that you could have one hundred pounds in a bank account".
