    Hola vicente y analaura.
    La frase está sacada de la novela The haunted house at Latchford, escrita por Charlotte Riddell y publicada en 1872. Quizá por eso suena tan extraña.
    ¿No podría ser que "London" fuese una errata y que en el original viniese otra palabra?

    Claro, pero no tengo ni idea cual seria la otra palabra. Tiendo a pensar que no fue errata debido a la letra mayúscula
