Hi to all, I have a problem with this expression:

and refusal on the part of the social scientists to deal with a whole dimension of fact, often of decisive fact, and in this sense he called it uncritical
Context: A thinker who don't want accept the common conception of facts in social sciences, and he is trying to question it.

Can anyone help me with the meaning of above expression? Please help
