    Default How to translate Anagrams?

    Hi,
I am doing a small translation english>spanish with a lot of anagrams. Does anybody know how to proceed with such thing? I was thinking about leaving the anagram in english, and putting the translation in parenthesis.

    Thank you for helping.

    Hi nabylm,
It depends if it's a game or something. Are you allowed to give examples?

nabylm, unfortunately the anagrams depends almost at a 90% on the language the reader knows. Its veeery complicated to translate accurately an anagram.
But, if you can leave it untranslated, perhaps it'll have more sense to the person that reads it.

    Hi there!
Well, anagrams, puns, etc are a real challenge for translation. For the few I came across with, we localized it in the Target language, instead of literaly translate them we create a new anagram. And we charged for a service we call "creative writing". Sometimes they are easy, but sometimes it´s difficult to keep all the message same as in the source lg.

Can you show us how it looks like?

    Here is a sample:
    <
    · Our values: We’re a TRIBE! What does that mean?! We are:
    o Team-oriented
    o Reliable/Accountable
    o Initiative/Hustle/Go-Getedness
o Be the best part of our customers’ and coworkers’ days
o Excellence in our job skills·
    >
It has to go into Spanish. I thought about using TRIBU but the translation would have to match.

Its necessary that it matches the initial line?
Or it can be another one?

Could it be? Something like that?
    Or its just very messy?

Thats the actual problem with anagrams..
