    Default Rush or no rush?

Hey guys, I have 5,000 words from English to Spanish that needs to be completed in 3 business days. I'm not sure if this should be considered a rush project. What do you guys think?

I dont think that's a big rush. We use 2,500 words translated per day as reference (5,000 for edition). However, if DTP is included, then you'll have to make choices

Thanks nabylm. So that means if there is DTP that needs to be done, it could be considered a rush project? Let's say it's a 20 page Indesign file with images.

20 pages with images.... That would be 1BD just for DTP. You are left with 2BD for T+E. Now you have a rush. I would say you should use post edition (especially if it´s a legal contract) to save some time.

I quite agree with nabylm, formatting takes time, and it´s also a good practice to send material to one of the translators involved in the process to have a final look at the formatted file. Working only off the cat tool might lead to some mistakes...

Thanks Nabylm. What would be a regular turnaround time in that case for 20 page INDD with TEP done?
