I have received another suggestion I would like to share with you!

    "camastro"

It sounds awful but... what do you think?

That is the reason why I dislike this word for my lovely hospitality projects.

But the truth is... it is used as a synonym of "reposera" by a pool. Just google it!

Matias my friend...con tu permiso may I offer a small correction that might benefit others who read our posts?

Despectivo is the right word but it is a false friend. A better English option for despectivo would be "derogatory".

If you wanted to say "lacking respect" the word would be "disrespectful" (irrespetuoso)

I offer this suggestion con todo respeto

"Despectivo" is the word in Spanish.

    despectivo
adj., Gram. Dicho de una palabra: que manifiesta idea de menosprecio, por ejemplo, "libraco", "villorio", "poetastro", "calducho".

This is why "camastro" sounds awful, in my opinion.

I found that "camastro" is more like a "reposera"

False friends are words that look similar in each language but have different meanings.

EX: Carpeta (folder) - Carpet (alfombra); Embarazada (pregnant) - Embarrassed - Avergonzada

In this case "despectivo" looks a little like "disrespectful"

There are quite a few false friends. Here's a website with a few: 50 Spanish-English False Friend Words | Mental Floss

Ooh.. I understand.. But it might not be that logical to change it to "disrespectful" because you can't disrespect an object.
