I can't think of a litteral translation of "pagar con creces" because the expression is figurative and you have to specify how and why you are paying (and if you are actually paying ).

Hi, nabylm!
"to pay off handsomely" would be a good choice for "pagar con creces" (not in it's figurative sense though, but money-wise)
Also, "creces" means "sobrepasar, ampliamente": more than, by far, be way over, far exceed.
Does anybody come up with other alternatives?
Me parece que "amply" y "fully" son adverbios que complementan el sentido de "con creces" en algunos casos.
I agree with Danielr.
"make it up amply"
And what about "make it up big time"? Would it work as well?
