Thread: What's the meaning of "manspreading" and how do I translate it into Spanish?

I came across this very funny word the other day, "manspreading", and I'm not quite sure what it means.

Could anyone help me understand in which context it should be used and how I could translate it into Spanish?

There's no corresponding translation, at least not in a single word, it's more of a concept. It has a negative connotation, as evidenced by the fact it's "manspreading" and not "legspreading."

I know it's not related, really. But this reminds me of one of our latest threads, What is "mansplaining"?

Do you think this is some kind of fad? Creating all these male/female-specific words?

Segun lei significa esto: se refiere a la práctica de algunos hombres de sentarse con las piernas abiertas en el transporte público, ocupando con ello el espacio de más de un asiento.
