Good day everyone! I'm in need of assistance. I'm currently trying to translate the following text:
"For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all. Infinite in distance and unbound by death, I release your soul, and by my shoulder, protect thee."
Context: Its some sort of creed used to unlock power in a series. Its written in some sort of poetic way, I guess.
Thing is, I can translate 80% of the text just fine. I'm having problems with the first part, being "For it is in passing that we achieve immortality". I can't help but feel that it is referring to death, with passing as in "passing away" to achieve immortality. I've checked online translators and they all take "in passing" as "de paso". I need an approximate translation of this.
I'm also having problems with the last part where it says "and by my shoulder, protect thee". "Protect thee" could be translated to "protegerte" or "he de protegerte" or something similar, but "by my shoulder" is giving me a bit of trouble. I take it means something as in "bajo mis capacidades, yo he de protegerte"?
Thanks for your time, everyone!
