Thread: "abrir en oración"

Hi! In reference to the way of opening a meeting, is it correct to translate "open in prayer" as "abrir en oración" or "abrir con oración"? To my mind, this is an anglicism, and the Spanish phrase should be "iniciar con oración" or "comenzar con oración". Thanks

in Spanish, the verb ´abrir´ as a literal equivalent to ´open´ is only used for doors, boxes, etc...
When you refer to ´opening´ a session, a meeting, in Spanish, that´s ´comenzar, iniciar, dar comienzo´...
