Thread: Translation to spanish please

There is no reason for you to be uneasy at all, I think we had a connection and dont think language or distance should get in the way of us getting to know each other better. You are the reason I had such a good time on the cruise, you were so nice and beautiful. It was hard to comunicate but it was fun learning a little spanish and about you the book helped a lot..haha I miss holding you and relaxing in the juccuzi.

I promise to learn Spanish as fast as I can so it will be easier...

I have been so busy at work the last couple of weeks, I can not wait to go on vacation again hopefully with you!!

I got some news from my sister yesterday, I dont know if its good news but I am going to be a uncle! But she broke up with her boyfriend two weeks ago and just found out she is pregnant, she is moving back home with my parents and its going to be hard for her alone I think but she will at least have family around here to help.

No hay ninguna razón por la que te tengas que sentir incomoda, creo que tu y yo hemos conectado y no pienso que la distancia o el lenguaje tengan que ser necesariamente un impedimento para que lleguemos a conocernos mejor. La razón por la cual me lo pasé tan bien en el crucero fuiste tú, eres tan guapa y tan simpática. Comunicarnos fue dificil, pero disfruté aprendiendo un poco de español y conociendote mejor, el libro tambien ayudó mucho..jaja..echo de menos abrazarte y relajarme en el jacuzzi.

Te prometo que voy a aprender español lo más rápido que pueda y que será más fácil.

He estado tan ocupado en el trabajo en las dos últimas semanas, tengo tantas ganas de ir de vacaciones otra vez, espero que contigo!

Ayer tuve noticias de mi hermana, no sé si son buenas noticias pero voy a ser tio!. Mi hermana terminó con su novio hace dos semanas y se acaba de enterar que está embarazada. Se va a mudar con mis padres y estar sola va a ser dificil pero por lo menos va a tener a la familia alrededor de ella para ayudarla.

I've done it because I need a lot of practice translating but you'd better get on with that Spanish software and learn a bit, cheeky boy!!

Oh thanks Sandra!! I'd be quite happy to get my hands (paws?) on anything that would allow me to get some needed practice. I've been investigating agencies and most of them ask for either qualifications or proven experience (which frankly is fair enough) and at the moment I haven't got either! I am working towards a general translation course with IH, but I am not sure that'll be enough to get work. Thanks for your encouragement anyway

Kris, I think you should include this in your emails:

"Es posible que te estés preguntando cómo estoy siendo capaz de mandarte éstos emails en un español impecable. Como verás, las traducciones son demasiado buenas para haberlas sacado de Babelfish o algún programa similar en internet y aunque ya me sé los colores, no soy todavía capaz de escribirte lo que siento. La verdad es que he encontrado un foro de traductores y una traductora majísima que se llama Sandra me está ayudando. Creo que lo mínimo que se merece son una gracias enormes de mi parte, ya que la traducción es un servicio que se paga, y sin su generosidad no habría sido capaz de escribirte estas lineas..."
