Thread: Ok on translation?

I recently picked up Rosetta Stone "Spanish Latin America" so I can learn some spanish once again as I just started seeing a woman whos origianlly from Colombia. I didn't realize how in depth this system is if anyone has used it. So I'm asking for a bit of help on this translation as I notice there are many different ways that spanish is translated.

Im sure you can figure out where this is from. She is from Colombia and some of her family is from Spain as well, so I 'm sure she wouldn't have a problem in the translation either way.

To be honest, some parts are ok and some others are weird, I mean they make you laugh when you read them and do not sound very romantic. It's not a very good translation I wouldn't give it to her if I were you.

I can assure you that in Spanish that phrase doesn't make the slightest sense. In Spanish the translation would be "deja que a quien abraces sea aquel que quieres" or something similar. The translation in English for "Que el que se celebrará el que usted desea" would be "That the one that will be celebrated be the one you want".

I am just giving my point of view on that translation. It is not good, actually is pretty bad. Just trying to help.

if i were you, i'd make some changes to the song...just to make the song sound a bit more romantic...sometimes you have to interprete what the singer tries to say and not translate every single words into your own language...can you understand what i mean? i hope so.
