I have a spanish friend that has an advice phrase that she uses a lot. She has told me what it means, which is something like all of these english phrases:

Silence is golden,
better to not repeat this,
keep this under your hat,
if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all
a little silence is better

The actual phrase she says sounds like: "Calladito te vez es mas bonito"

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I have found the word callado as a conjugation of callar, but I would be interested to know if anyone knows the exact phrase she is using and how it is spelled.

Also, I would like translations for these:

-That's good enough!

-better late than never.

"Calladito te ves más bonito" is very much used to mean exactly what your friend told you (Try and google it... you'll see!!). It's something like "Stay pretty and keep your mouth shut". BTW, the spelling is correct.
