    Can the past participle be used in this sentence?
    we are reminded of our mistakes
    somos recordado de nuestros errores

    OR
    Nos hacen recordar nuestros errores

    would be the best way to put it!

    I completely agree with my friend Sandy.
    Another option could be

    "Se nos recuerda nuestros errores" if you want to mantain the passive voice
