    Hi!! I have doubts with the translation of this sentence:

    A number of people have been killed after overnight looting and panic gripped a Congolese town besieged by a rebel army, according to reports today.


    Según informes de hoy, numerosas personas han muerto y el pánico agarró a una ciudad congolesa sitiada por un ejército rebelde después del saqueo de anoche.

    ¿El pánico agarró?¿Cundió el pánico?¿El pánico tomó? I need help please.

    Me gusta la versión de PAMES. También puedes usar "cundió el pánico en..." Espero que te sirva.
