Thread: That does it mean to transcribe a script?

My client says she does not need a translation, but needs to have the script transcribed. What is it?

Your client will probably send you a video or a recording and you have to type exactly what you hear.

I agree. I had to do that once.
Sometimes when the text is not available, clients use videotapes or interviews (as in conferences) and make the translator to transcribe it and then translate it. Translators job is not exclusively translating texts.
