    "So, I was talking to this guy and I asked him if english was his first language.He said no. So I was like I knew it"
    Im trying to translate a blog "[FONT='Calibri','sans-serif']Estuve hablando con este chico y le pregunté si inglés fue su primer idioma. Dijo no. " Im stuck on the last bit. Thanks[/FONT]

    Hi. You can translate it as "Así que me dije: 'Ya lo sabía'."

    "So I was like I knew it" is not exactly the same as "I knew it". I would need context, who is speaking and towards who. "I was like" sounds to me like slang, like young people speak. If I was translating into Spanish from Spain, and was sure this was the context, I would say something a bit different to avoid losing that connotation. Lo sabía, me lo esperaba etc is perfectly correct, but it doesn't sound the same. Might be a bit of a free trasnlation but "estaba superseguro" is spanish slang or "mi reaccion fue, pues claro".
