heartbreaker

Hi! I've found "heartbreaker" which means "rompecorazones". I don't understand why It's translated into a plural word. Wouldn't it be something like "hearts breaker" or "heartbreakers"?
I'm not sure about "hearts breaker" I think It's grammatically incorrect.

"Heartbreaker" is correct, it means "someone who breaks your heart", in English the plural is not used for compound nouns like this one, and the translation depends very much on the peculiarities of every language in particular. In Italian you have "rubacuore" (literally "someone who steals your heart") and it is singular, so it is different in every language, you cannot translate it mot-a-mot but you have to look for an equivalent. Well, your word is pretty similar in Spanish and English, but what if you have, for example, "picaflor"? :cool: :)
