    Default Is this translation correct?

The Winamp can open many music files, if it can't, it maybe the music file is missing or lost.

I tried to translate the sentence "The music file is missing." into Spanish, who could please tell me is it correct? Thank you!

English : The music file is missing.

Spanish: El archivo de la música pierde.

It means El archivo de la música no está / está ausente o también Falta el archivo de la música.

Since it's a software message how about this:

"The music file is missing.", "Archivo de música faltante."

Sorry but "faltante" doesn´t exist in Spanish. I would translate: "Falta el archivo de música", o, "no se encuentra el archivo de música"

32 years being Spanish and this is the very first time I´ve heard the word "faltante". But it must exist if RAE says that. Sorry, and thanks a lot. I have learnt a new word.

    You're welcome,

I'm 40 years being a Mexican now and at least in the world of software I think it's the best that fits the expression since it's a warning message from a machine.
At least in México this word "faltante" it´s quite common , especially every 6 years if you know what I mean

    Best Regards
